Thai Railways

Thai Railways is a company that provides six main lines train service, heading to a number of cities within Thailand. Based in Hua Lumpong (also known as Hua Lamphong), Thai Railways is operated by the State Railway of Thailand.

Bangkok train station Hua Lumpong (also known as Hua Lamphong) is right beside the Hua Lumpong MRT station. Travelers who are taking the train service in Bangkok can easily reach the train station by taking MRT service. Those who stay next to the BTS line, can transfer to MRT line at Sala Daeng BTS station/Si Lom MRT station.

Thai Railways is known for its spacious seats within a considerably new train conditions, offering comfort for the passengers while traveling, especially the first class cabin. In fact, most of the trains in Thailand are clean and meet the European standards of safety and cleanliness, regardless of the cabin classes. With trained conductors handling the railways and a number of ground staff at the ready on every station, passengers will feel safe and secure on the journey to their destination.

However, passengers should take note that although some of the Thai Railways stations may not require the tickets to be checked to get to the platforms, passengers would still need to present their tickets to the conductors after boarding the train.
