The building is a simple train station but complete with basic facilities such as toilet, small shops, left–luggage service and cargo and parcel office. The pier to get to Koh Tao is not so far from the train station. Songthaews are available at the train station to take you to your destination upon arrival. However, the price can be quite costly even to get to your hotel in the town.
